Well, if you’re running an estate agency, then one critical aspect of your business is staying on top of you applicant book. Many estate agents simply can’t be bothered, or don’t see the importance of doing this. Others swear by it, and employ a member of staff whose sole job is to keep the applicant book up to date.
Record the applicants name, telephone number and email address. Carefully add their preferences into your database, and broaden the search parameters to margins that you think they will tolerate.
You should then routinely review them. Call them once a fortnight… are they still looking? Have their preferences changed? Archive them if they’re not looking. That way you keep a “hot” applicant list at all times. You don’t waste time or money on anyone else.
