Translation of the Book of Mormon

3:11 am Reference

The Book of Mormon is an addition to the Old and New Testament. According to Mormon history, Joseph Smith Jr. translated the Book of Mormon from “reformed Egyptian” into English using the Urim and Thummim. Joseph Smith first discovered the Gold Plates at seventeen with the help of Angel Moroni, but was told not to take or touch the plates. Angel Moroni told Joseph Smith to come back next year to receive further instructions; four years later Joseph Smith was finally allowed to take the Plates. After he translated the Book of Mormon, it was published on March 1830. The Book of Mormon now has been translated into 80 different languages. The Book of Mormon is one of the most important things to have happened in Mormon history.
