Higher Credentials Open New Career Doors
May 6, 2009 6:00 am ReferenceI had been a nurse at a community health clinic for three years, and I wanted to become a home health nurse for our local health department. I was told that the position required a four-year nursing degree, and I was initially discouraged because I couldn’t afford to quit my job and attend college. One of the nurses that I work with told me that she earned her lpn to bsn online, and she was able to work full time and live at home while she completed it. I called the program director for more information, and soon I started the program. Now that I have graduated, I finally got my dream job as a home health nurse!
