If you feel that the kid is not scoring big, try to figure out the reason. If you find that he or she is not grasping in the things taught in the classroom, then you should consider hiring in a tutor. Make your kid comprehend that by following the instructions laid by the tutor he will get good grades as math will become an interesting subject.
If at any moment you feel that the kid is not in the favor of a tutor, shun this idea off as there is no need to put your child in a confusing situation.
