Radio Controlled Boats – How Many Is Enough?

5:02 am Miscellaneous

You could say that I am addicted to radio controlled boating. When I am at work, I sometimes find my mind wandering…thinking about my plans for my next trip to the lake. When I first was introduced to radio controlled boating about 10 years ago, I remember wondering why some of the folks I met had so many different boats. After all, how many can you run at once!Well, now I am one of those with an entire fleet of my own. I started out with an electric radio controlled boat…which was very easy to handle, and very exciting. Next thing you know, I had a craving for the sound of the nitro radio controlled boats…welcome boat number two. You’d think that was enough. But then I discovered the hydro’s…everyone needs one of those radio controlled boats. Couldn’t stop there. I got curious, and thought I’d try my hand at sailboats – now that’s an entirely different kind of boat.I park my car outside now…no room in the garage anymore. I built some shelves and added a ‘work bench’ so I’d have space to work on my boats. Luckily I have a very patient family…the garage is pretty much a boathouse now! You can never have enough boats in my opinion…there’s always another one calling my name!
