Persons with a criminal record, alcohol or drug abuse, health problems that would interfere with safe practices may be ineligible for state testing and/or employment. On some occasions employers may require an individual to be a Certified Nurses Aid before allowing them to function as a medication aide. Online medication aide training is available and medication aides can still be is trained to work under the direct supervision of a caretaker or licensed health care professional. The adventures and challenges are virtually unlimited for a medication aide.
