But you can avoid embarrassment when buying gifts for birthday if you follow a few simple rules. First, consider their hobbies. What do they do in their spare time? Maybe you can get them something related to that. Second, notice what they wear. Do they seem to like jewelry, ties, or shoes? If so, one of these is sure to be a hit.
