Deck Restoration Questions
March 19, 2009 10:30 am HomeMy wife and I have decided to do the deck restoration that is needed on our own. We really can’t afford to hire professionals to do it but I don’t know exactly what needs to be done. If we manage to pull this off I will definitely do the maintenance that is needed. I am kicking myself for being so lazy. We have boards that are twisting and I need to figure out how to straighten them out. There are nails popping up all over the place. I am thinking about removing the nails and using wood screws to secure the planks but am not sure if that is the right thing to do. I also need to figure out what sort of sealant we should apply. I hope I can figure this out and do a good job.
