New Rules that Accompany the FY 08 Military Pay Chart
June 9, 2009 6:57 am BusinessUnder previous laws (before the Defense Authorization Act was approved), those servicemen who have continued to be enlisted in the armed forces for longer than 26 years did not receive any longevity pay raises. This hardly seems fair considering the amount of time, energy and dedication these military personnel have devoted to the armed forces for their entire career. With the introduction of the Defense Authorization Act, those persons who have devoted up to 40 years of military service to the United States will continue to receive significant raises in appreciation of their dedication to our great nation according to the FY 08 Military Pay Chart.
