Being a stay-at-home mom, I lead a very busy life caring for my three children and looking after our home. Driving them to school, gymnastics, cheer leading, and baseball practice, doing the cooking, cleaning, and laundry; you know the drill. I needed to find some “me time” so I could do something relaxing. I enjoy working on arts and crafts projects with the kids and thought maybe I would like to paint small wooden items. My first attempts were done with wooden cutouts I bought at a craft shop; but as my interest in this hobby increased I wanted to try bigger projects. I enlisted the aid of my husband and with the help of patterns I made myself, he cut out plywood figures for me to paint. In no time our basement was over flowing with holiday decorations, animals, and sports items all made from plywood cutouts and painted by me. I began selling my creations at craft shows and was pleased that I could earn money buy making arts and crafts at home.
