Dagger tattoo

So I am thinking about getting a dagger tattoo design.  I think that it will be pretty cool.  Daggers have played an important role through human history, and they just look cool.  My friends are trying to talk me out of it, but I don’t know why.  Early humans used daggers to kill and skin animals.  They even used the as an eating utensil.  I am thinking about getting one on my leg.  They are a symbol for always being ready to fight.  I am feisty like that.  I know a great tattoo artist that lives in the apartment below me who will do a great job I am sure!
